ABOUT COACH FOGARTY
Developing Players Building Programs
I am a college basketball coach, player development coach and program builder with 20+ years of experience across NCAA, NAIA, 3C2A, CIF and AAU basketball. My work is built around player development, scouting preparation, recruiting organization, defensive accountability and staff-ready systems. My basketball background has been shaped through every side of the game: college player, player development coach, club coach, high school head coach and college assistant. That path gives me a practical view of teaching, communication, roster development and daily program structure.
My experience includes Redding Heat, OC Magic, Magic Elite, Connected Sports, Pacific Academy and Santa Ana College, with each stop adding to how I teach, organize and support a team. I have worked with developing players, building competitive habits and helping programs create clearer standards for preparation and accountability. Today, my value is rooted in staff support: individual development plans, scouting preparation, recruiting organization, defensive tracking, film feedback and clear communication. My goal is to help a college program operate with structure, detail and consistency every day while giving players direct coaching they can understand and apply.
I bring a detail-driven approach to the daily work of a staff: preparing players for what they will see, organizing information so it is useful, and reinforcing habits that carry from practice to games. I am comfortable serving the needs of the program, teaching on the floor, building resources behind the scenes and helping create a steady environment where players know the standard. My coaching style is built on relationships, preparation and daily follow-through. Whether I am leading a workout, reviewing film, helping organize a scouting report or supporting a head coach's vision, I bring steady energy to the work that keeps a program moving. The goal is always bigger than one drill, one report or one game plan. I want to be part of a staff that helps players grow as competitors, teammates and people while building a program that is organized, connected and difficult to play against.
What I am looking for is an opportunity to contribute every day: to help prepare a team, develop players, support the staff and add value wherever the program needs it. I care about the unseen work that makes a season function: clean communication, organized details, consistent standards, positive energy and the willingness to do the small things well. I believe those habits build trust inside a program, and I want my work to reflect that every day.
